ReplyDeleteWe cannot start new threads by ourselves I believe. So I'd like to mention that to find research and scholarly articles, Google has a different version of its search engine available. It is called Google Scholar (Stand on the Shoulders of Giants), so as to keep the essays, assignments, and non-academic articles from popping up in your research, one can use the following search engine:

It is similar to the normal google search. Just that, it tries to limit its search to only scholarly, authenticated papers on the topics you provide.

How we can improve the offered courses?
ReplyDeleteNDU is one of the best University to teach the subject like GIS (Geographic Information System) and ERP (Enterprise Resources Planning)in its Master's program. The students have been given a chance to get familiar with the international norms of teaching and world class courses. But despite of this, there are many flaws in NDU. There is no proper outline for core subject. Every semester there is a new experiment from the instructor on the students with a new outline. There shall be a precise, complete, and rigid course outline and scheme of studies for each of the offered subject. In this way we can bring reforms in our offered courses.

ReplyDeleteAt NDU we have the dynamic and experienced faculty members who have their own state of the art style of teaching such as Honorable; Dr. Pervaiz Iqbal Cheema, Syed Bashir Hussain and Sir Sarfraz Ansari. Visiting faculty is also well experienced. The need of the hour is to appoint the faculty members who fulfill the HEC Criteria for appointments as Lecturer, Assistant Professor and e.t.c. By fulfilling the HEC Criteria we can have able faculty members and consequently the style of teaching shall also be improved.
How we can improve the research activities?
ReplyDeleteThe research activities can be improved by developing large networking with the outer environment. There shall be the appointment of an INDEPENDENT OFFICER with the designation of "Placement Officer". His sole responsibility shall be to approach the reputed organizations and executives. By doing so, the placement of students in these organizations shall be quite easy. Moreover, through the assistance of Placement Officer, research activities shall also be promoted. Students can use the available developed networking in their projects and assignments.
How we can connect the students with practitioner around the world?
ReplyDeleteIt is sole responsibility of university. There shall be the arrangements of international visits, attending workshops and other activities by the support of university. There shall be the facility of lectures through Video Conferencing. In this way bulk of the students can be connected with the practitioner around the world.
In addition to this, there shall be a Quality Enhancement Cell at FCS, National Defence University, Islamabad. In this way university can compete with other public sector institutions. The Department of Government & Public Policy shall start its own monthly magazine in which students have to contribute about the current policies of Pakistan related to daily routine matters.

ReplyDeleteNo doubt NDU has skilled and practiced (some of them) in present faculty members. To improve teaching style, heir new Professors who have much experience and they should teach their concerned fields I mean they should be in their domain (for the new as well as present faculty members)
